AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY OF GEORGETOWN, CODE OF
ORDINANCES § 1.08.010 ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISIONS AND
DEPARTMENTS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND SETTING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed 2009110 Annual Budget
for the City of Georgetown, and the Administrative Division and Department revisions
contained therein; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter Section 5.04 "Directors of Divisions" establishes
organizational hierarchy; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas deems it necessary
to amend § 2.08,010 of the City of Georgetown Code of Ordinances entitled
"Administration", "Administrative Divisions and Departments"
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITORDAINEDBYTH€ CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference
herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim, The City Council hereby
finds that this ordinance complies with the Vision Statement of the City of Georgetown
2030 Comprehensive Plan,
SECTION 2, The City of Georgetown Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2,
Administration, § 2.8.0101 Administrative Divisions and Departments, is hereby amended
to read as follows:
§2.9.010, Administrative Divisions and Departments.
There are hereby established the following administrative divisors and departments
of the City:

SECTION 9. In the event any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
provision sentence or pad of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or
circumstance shall for any reason be adjudged invalid or held unconshtullonal, by court
of competent jurisdiction, t shall not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this
ordinance which shall be given full force and effect
SECTION4. This ordinance shall become effective October 1, 2009 with adoption
of the 2009110 Annual Budget by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas.
