AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 011,
TEXAS, VACATING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY BETWEI
71 9, and 11, ON THE NORTH AND LOTS 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and
SOUTH IN AN AREA FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE CARVER
GEORGETOWN,
14 LOTS 1, 3, 5,
2, ON THE
)ARK ADDITION.
WHEREAS, on the plat of the Carver Park Addition to the Cit) of Georgetown
recorded in Vol. 2, p. 23, Plat Records, Williamson County, Texas an area lying bet-
ween Lots 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 on the North and Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12, on the
South, approximately fourteen feet in width is designated as an all e G and
WHEREAS, in various deeds to the Urban Renewal Agency of e City of Georgetown,
reference is made to such alley; and Td
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of August, 1970, the Urban Renew I Agency of the
City of Georgetown filed for record a re -plat of a portion of said CaIrver Park Addition,
same being described as Block F, South San Gabriel Urban Renewal' ddition to the City
of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and recorded in Vol. 5P. 67, Plat Records,
Williamson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on March 19, 1973, the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of George-
town, filed for record a re -plat of another portion of saidCarver Pa' 'k Addition, same
being designated Blocks F-1 and F-2, South San Gabriel Urban Renewal Addition to the
City of,Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and recorded in V'I. 7, P. 60, Plat Re-
cords, Williamson County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, on May 14, 1973, the City Council of the City of Georgetown adopted
an ordinance vacating and abandoning an alley ten feet in width and extending in length
east and west between Railroad Street and Bridge Street; and
WHEREAS, a question has arisen as to whether or not the City, f Georgetown has
vacated and abandoned all of sai&alley, both as to width and as tol ts entirety through-
out the area formerly designated as the Carver Park Addition; now trrefore be it
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, i ' order to clear up
a any question of title regarding said alley, does hereby vacate and , andon said alley
in its entirety.
