HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 08.04.1943 CC-S134 v, Georgetown, Texas August 4, 1943, The City Council was called by the mayor, M. F. Smith, at the request of the City Health Officer Dr, Walter S. Martin and C. V. Covington; director of Central Texas Health Unit to discuss the importance of a clean-up Campaign for Georgetown. A motion was made, -after hearing the health authorities explain the importance of the campaign due to the prevalence of Poilio in other parts of the State, that the Mayor and City Health Officer inagguarate such a campaign for Georgetown, at the earliest possible time, and to stress the importance of said campaign at*this time.
