Griffith presiding, the following aldermen and off "vials being present: Aldermen: Atkin, Hamilton, iiarris, Hoffman end Smith. Zee C. Black, City Manager, A. P. Pickle, marshal; Y. L. Cates, Secretary, The Sanitary 9or Garbage) Ordina.eee was presented for its second reading by Ord. Committeeman Atkin, who moved that it be read and passed to its Iki third reeding. The motion was seconded by Ald. Sam E. Harris, and passed to its third reading by the following vote; Ayes: Atkin, Hamilton, Hoffman, Harris, Smith. ?does. None. Ald. Atkin then made a motion that on account of the ordinance contain- ing an emergency clause therein, that the usual rules for passing Or- dinances be suspended, and the said ordinance be read by caption and finally passed. The motion was seconded by Ald. Sam F. Harris, and the ordinance was read by caption. The motion was passed by the follow- ing unanimous vote: Ayes: Atkin, Hamilton, Hoffman, Harris, Smith. The hayor declared the said ordinance duly and constitutionally passed. The City Council met in regular adjourned session on the above date, Vayor C. S. Griffith preseiding, the following aldermen and officers being present: Aldermen: *J. T. Atkin, C.''. Hamilton, '.v. ?'. Hoffman, Jr., Sam E. Harris, Fred Cooper Smith, OLee C. Black, City Manager, R', H. Nunn, Atty, for the City and M. L. Cates, secretary. There occurring an emergency for a location for the storage of grain in this community, after a thorough discussion by the Council, the following resolution was offered: "A Resoulution to amend the present lease agreement and add rental of the Municipal Airport Hanger for grain storage until April 30th, 1950 for an additional rent of 01000.00 to be paid by the prsent lessee, within forty-five days from date, and the Ynyor be authorized to execute lease." On Motion of Alderman Fred Cooper Smith, seconded by AldermM.n Sa.rn E. Hryrris, the aforesaid resolution wa.s passed, the following being the vote: Ayes, Atkin, F'nRoffman, offman, ?Ir�rris, Smith. roes, none. The Council adjourned until June date, for the ope.nin� of sealed bide on collection units.
