Which assessments herein made for the above named portions of
said streets are for the paving with Uvalde �(ock Asphalt and the plac-
ing of concrete curbs 4(nA gutters ".long the lines of aid streets in
certain instances.
Sec. 2. That the assessmcnts her.+ :in made C-.zg ainst abutting property
and the owners thereof, are hereby made a lien againti:t Such Property
and a personal obligation against the o:mers of Much property, same to
be enforceable and recoverable in an�r court of competent jurisdicticon,
such lien to be the first enforceable :;laim against the property against
jjich It is assessed, to all other claillis, eXCEipt State, County
and 1:111unicipal taxes, except that no lien is un(I(-,rtalken lwruby to be fix-
ed against property exempt by the lav s of this Mate under execution, but
in such event the ovrners of such pro )ert. shall not be exempt from per-
sonal, liability for the cost of such improvements coy; tructed in front

Sec. 6. That the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
shall cause to be issued in the name of the City of Geo rgetod,,n, Texas,
assignable cex°tificates, declaring the liability of such owners a.nd
their pro-f,jerty against thom such asses-m_nunts have been .,:ia de and taxes
levied against them and their -1property, said certificates to recite that
the procecdirigs with referl-.nce to the making of such irrprovUn(.-nts as
hereinbefore set forth have been regularly had in compliance with the
lavi and that all pre -requisites to the fixing of assessmc-Tits and tax
liens against the property described and the ?-ers nal liability have
been complied with and said certificate shall be for the amount due by
the respective owners and fixed us a lien agai -st their -property and to
be ;sayable at the time the respective amounts due on such assessments
against such resj::t::ctive owners and their I:ro_q,, rty are due under this or-
dinance, and to dray; the same rate of interest as is provided in this
ordinance on all deferred payments on such asses-ments; and shall fur-
ther -provide that if it becomes necessary to force their obligation
at law there shall in addition to their race value, be due on them
reasonable attorney's fees for their collection, if incurred and shall
be enforceable in the same manner as the original assessment or tax.
