Be it ordained by the City Council of the said City,
that it skull hereafter be unla4rful, for any person, for himself,
or for another, to erect or to be corrected directly or indirect-
ly vith the erection, of any tent for any character of show; with-
in the fine limits of the said City or vti ithin four hundred yards
thereof; or within four hundred yards of any asoline, or oil tank
or reservoir or any place where gasoline or oil is stored; and it
shall be unlawful for any Demon, acting for hinself or for another,
to directly or indirectly, be connected kith the operation of any
show in any tent, within the fire limits of the said City, or with-
in four hundred yards thereof; or at any place tithin four hundred
yards of any gasoline or oil tank, or any place Lhere gasoline or
oil is stored.
That any person violating; any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall on conviction be fined in any sum, not less than one
and not more than one hundred dollars.
That all ordinances, and Darts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith, are hereby repealed.
That the fact, that the establishing and conducting
of tent slows, or shows conducted in tents, vith:in and near the
fire limits of the said City, and near to gasoline and oil tanks,
and places where gasoline and oil is stored, is very likely to
cause fires, and a destruction of property, within the said City,
thereby; and the further fast that there is no ordinance 1 eg ulat-
ing_ the places where such tents may be established, and such slows
had, males it an emergency, and that thercfore this ordinance,
shall take effect fron and Lfter its ja. ssage and publication.
