STREET OF THE SAID CITY, IN THE NIGHT TIME-9WITHOUTA LIGHT
BURNING THEREON: AND DEFINING ?AIHAT CONSTITIJTES SUCH OBSTRUCT-
IONS, AND DEFINING NIGHT TIRs, AND FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE
VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN
EXCEPTIONS TO THE SATIE.
BE IT 0Rl')4II-TED by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas:
SECTION 1. That it shall herafter be unlawful for any
person, owning, controlling, managing or in charge of any
of the herein defined obstructions, to leave or to permit
the same to be left upon any public street of the said City,
in the night time, without a light burning thereon,during all
of the time that the same is so left or permitted to be left
upon such street, during the night time; and that any person
owning, controlling, managing or in charge of any of the
said dangerous obstructions so leaving or permitting the same
to be left upon any public street of the said City in the night
time without a light burning thereon shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction therefor shall be fined
in any sum not less than jJ1.00 nor more than $100.00.
Section 2. That any car, truck, tractor, buggy, wagon
cart, or other vehicle, or any machinery of any character,
that is not in actual motion, upon any part of any public
street shall be deemed as obstruction;and that any pile of
earth, sand, gravel, rock, brick, cement, wodd, timber,iron,
lumber, implement, machinery, building or building material,
or any ditch or excavation, on or upon any part of any pub-
lic street shall be deemed to be an obstruction within the
meaning of this ordinance.
Section 3. That any time between the hours of one
hour after the sun set and one hour before sun rise, shall
be deemed to be in the night time, within the meaning of
this ordinance.

Section 4. That Sections 1 and 2, hereof, defining
and punishing the leaving of obstructions in any public
street of this City in the night time, shall not apply to
any car, truck, tractor, wagon, buggy, cart, or other
vehicle, in actual use at the time, or that has been in
actual use within the preceding hour; nor shall it apply
to any such vehicles prior to the hour of 11:30 o'clock
P.M. if such vehicle has been in actual use and operEtion
on that day.
Section 5. That nothing in this ordinance shall
Ln any manner be construed as repealing any law or ordin-
ance regulating the parking of vehicles; nor any law or
ordinance requiring certain vehicles to have lights thereon
while in actual operation.
