The Georgetown Water Utility Advisory Board met on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 3:00 PM at West Side
Service Center, 5501 Williams Drive.
The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you

This is a Georgetown Water Utility Advisory Board meeting scheduled every second Thursday of the
month. The August meeting is being delayed until 3:00 due to scheduling conflicts.
The following Members were in attendance:

Public Wishing to Address the Board
On a subject that is posted on this agenda: Please fill out a speaker registration form which can be found on the
table at the entrance to the meeting room. Clearly print your name and the letter of the item on which you wish
to speak and present it to the Board Liaison prior to the start of the meeting. You will be called forward to speak
when the Board considers that item. Only persons who have delivered the speaker form prior to the meeting
being called to order may speak. Speakers will be allowed up to three minutes to speak. If you wish to speak for
six minutes, it is permissible to use another requestor's granted time to speak. No more than six minutes for a
speaker may be granted. The requestor granting time to another speaker must also submit a form and be present
at the meeting.
On a subject not posted on the agenda: A request must be received by the Advisory Board or Commission Liaisor
prior to the day the agenda for this meeting is posted. Each speaker will be given three minutes to address the
Board or Commission members. No action can be taken.
At the time of posting, no one signed up to speak.

Chair Garland called meeting to order at 3:00 PM.

Chair Garland led introduction of all in attendance.
1.0 Updates from Directors
Any updates will be highlighted at the meeting. The Directors' Report and CIP updates
are attached. - Chelsea Solomon, Water Utility Director
Chair Garland shared a press release regarding securing long-term groundwater
supply.
Solomon reviewed Directors' Report. Stewart gave an overview of rebates, enforcement
and current/upcoming items for conservation. Pousson presented CIP updates. Mcelroy
introduced Employee of the Month.
1.D Minutes of the July 13, 2023 Meeting
Review and possible action to approve the minutes from the July 13, 2023 meeting, of
the Georgetown Water Utility Advisory Board - Deniece Villela, Board Liaison
Moved by Steve Fought; seconded by Michael G. Morrison to Approve.

1.E Contract Award to Austin Engineering Co. for the Woods Pump Station Remodel
Consideration and possible recommendation to City Council to award a construction
contract to Austin Engineering Co. of Austin, TX for the construction of the Woods
Pump Station remodel for material storage in the amount of $459,566.00 - Isaac Conde,
Water Operation Specialist / Chelsea Solomon, Water Utility Director
Conde presented item for approval
