HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 07.29.1982 - ZoningORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON THE 12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968, AMENDING A PART OF THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP OR THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE THE PROPERTY OF SEMCOR, 'INC. IN THE NORTH PORTER ABSTRACT NO. 497 IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, FROM RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT TO INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the pur- pose: of changing the zoning ordinance on the following described real estates Being 2.50 acres of land out of the N. Porter Survey, Abstract No. 497, in the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, more fully described in attached field notes - Exhibit "A". AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its recommendation and report; and, WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has recommended the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from'Residential Single Fadi1.y District to Industrial District, which said meeting was held on the 12th day of July, 1982; and, WHEREAS, the City Council, before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, gave notice of such hearing by publishing same in a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which notice stated the time and place of hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen days from the first day of such publication; and WHEREAS, written notice was given to all the owners of the lots within 200 feet of the above described property as required by law;, and WHEREAS., the City Planning Commission approved the change aforesaid in the Zoning Ordinance, said approval being given by said Commission. on July 12, 1982. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council.of the City of George- town, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown, be amended so that the property described above shall be and the same is hereby removed from Residential Single Family Zistrict to Industrial District. Read, passed and adopted this 13 day of -July 1982, on the first reading. Sexton, to Industrial Corporation of Georgetown, T6xas, of recor& in Volume 519, Page 140 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas. Surveyed on toe ground under the supervision of Don H. Bizzell, Registered Professional Engineer, and described more fully as follows: BEGINNING at an iron pin found at a fence corner in the East R.O.W, line of Interstate 135; said point being the N.W, corner of the said 17.91 -acre tract., for the N.W. corner hereof; THENCE'S 28' 411 W, 145.99 feet along Y.H. 35 to an iron pin found, for the S.W. corner hereof; THENCE S 616 210 E, 244>.00 feet to an iron pin at the beginning of a curve to the right; THENCE, along the said curve (long chord bears S 531 06' E, 188.80 feet) a distance of 189.45 feet town iron pin; THENCE S 44" 36' E, 70.60 feet to an iron pin. for the S.E. corner hereof; THENCE N 64' 05' >, 53.03 feet to an iron pin, for the most easterly N.E. corner hereof; THENCE N 44' 45' W, 87.80 feet town iron pin at the beginning of a curve; THENCE, along the said curve (long chord bears N 52° 24' W, 186.19 feet) a distance of 186.73 feet to an iron pin. for an interior corner hereof; THENCE N 28' 45' no 337.73 feet to an iron pin in the North line of the said 17.91 -acre tract* for the most easterly N.E. corner hereof.; THENCE N 70e 221 W, 264.86 feet along the said North line to the place of BEGINNING and ront'aining 2.50 acres of Sand.
