FOR THE YEAR OF 1909,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas.
Section 1. That to meet the current expenses of the City
of Georgetown, Texas, and to carry on the City Government of
said City for the year of 1909, there is here now levied and
shall be collected an annual ad valorem tax of Twenty-five (25)
cents on the 4100.00 assessed valuation for the year of 1909
of all real and personal estate and property in the City of
Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitu-
tion and laws of the State of Texas.
Section 2. That to works grade and improve the streets
of the City of Georgetown, Texas, for the year of 1909, ther e
is here now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorem
tax of Twelve (12) cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation
for the year of 1909 of all real and personal property and
estate in the City of Georgetown, Texas not exempt from tax-
ation by the constitution and laws of the State of Texas.
Section 3. That for the support and maintenance of the
Public Free School in the City of Georgetown, Texas, for the
year of 19099 and as determined according to law by an election
heretofore held in said City for said purpose, there is here
and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorem
tax of Twenty-five cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation
for the year of 1909 of all real and personal property and
estate in the City of Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from tax-
ation by the constitution and laws of the State of Texas,
and the amount of taxes collected as provided for in this
section shall constitute a separate fund and shall be used
for no other purpose than as herein specified.
Section 4. That to pay the interest and create a sink-.
ing fund to meet the $14.000.00 in bonds of this City as
evidenced by 14,$1000.00 unpaid bonds, issued for the pur-
pose of refunding# canceling and in lieu of certain bonds
known as "Public School Building Bonds" as shown by an ordin-
ance of this City passed and approved on November 13th,19059
such ordinance being sections 117 to 129p inclusive, of
The Revised Civil and Criminal Ordinances of the City of
Georgetown, Texas* and as provided in said ordinancep
there is here and now levied and shall be collected for
the year of 1909 an annual ad valorem tax of Bight (8)
cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1909
of all real and personal property and estate in the City
of Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the
constitution and laws of the State of Texas, and the
amount of taxes collected under the provisions of this
section shall constitute a special fund and shall be used
for no other purpose than that herein specified.
