AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 11.7 OF PART ELEVEN,
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT, OF THE ZONING ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, TO PROVIDE FOR
APPEALS FROM DECISIONS OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
CONSISTENT WITH STATE LAW; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE,
WHEREAS, section 211.011 of Chapter 211 of the Local
Government Code, a code of the State of Texas, provides a
procedure for appeals from decisions of the Board of Adjustment;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
finds that its current ordinance that governs the procedure for
appeals from Board of Adjustment decisions is inconsistent with
the Local Government Code of the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend its current
ordinance governing appeals from decisions of the Board of
Adjustment to be consistent with the Local Government Code; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS;
Section I
That section 11.7 of Part 11, Board of Adjustment, of the Zoning
Ordinances of the City of Georgetown, Texas is amended to
read as follows:
Appeals From Decisions of the Board of Adjustment"
11.7 Decisions made by the Board of Adjustment of the City of
Georgetown shall be appealed in accordance with Section
211.011 of Chapter 211 of the Local Government Code of the
State of Texas, as the same may be amended from time to
time,
Section 2
That this ordinance shall become effective upon passage and second
reading thereof.
