AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD; PROVIDING POP
APPOINTMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS OF THE MEMBERS Of SUCH BOAPD AND
THEIR TERMS OF ORCE: PROVIDING FOP A CHAIPMAN, VICE CHAIRMAN
AND SECRETAFY FOR SUCH BOARD; DEFINING THE DUTIES Of THE BOARD;
E RIBING THAT MEMBERS OF THE BOAFD SHALL SERVE WITHOUT COMPEN.
SATION AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OFEXPENSES OF SUCH BOARD,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITYCOUNCIL OF THE CITY Of GEOPGETOWN, TEXAS:
Section I. There it hereby unreal the Airport Advisory Bard of the City of Georgetown,
ke composed of Nree (3) memhen. All members shall be residenl citizens of the Orval
Georgetown, Team, and except for the first members of such Advisory Board, shall be appointed
for No year terms, and until finer successors are appointed and qualified, Members of
fine Airport Advisory Board shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent
of the City Council, Appointments to the.Advisary Board shall bemode at the first regular
meeting after the amnucl election, or as soon thereaffer as possible.
Two (2) members of the first Advisory Board shall he appointed to serve unfit the Hnf
regular meeting offer the annual municipal election in 1979, and one (1) member shall he
appointed to serve unfi I the first regular meeting after the annual municipal election In
1980, so that Ihereofter the IM of two (2) members shall expire in the 4numbered yea,.
Section2, The Airport Advisory Board shall select from among Its members achoirmanand a Nvicecairmm,
and if shall adapt, subject to the approval of the City Council? such rules Mandregulationsgoverningtinproceedingsasifmaydeemproper. Such rules and regulations shall
not 6 inconsistent with the ordinances of theCity. The Advisory Boardshall appoint ya

3, The Airport Advisory Board shall from time to time make such general studies of
airport construction and operation as maybe useful in keeping the municipal airport efflaienf
and adequate fo the needs of the city and of air tramporWan indaslry; itshall make recommendations
to the City Coamcil in respect to construction, expansion, Improvements, maintenance
and operation of such airport, It shall cote the manager's attention to any failure
by personnel of the airport to carry out any orders or policies adopted by the City Council; and if shall, acting In an advisory capacity, work Inward the general improvement of the
airport and the odvancemenl of it city as an air honsportation renter. Section4.
No Peron having any financial interest to any commercial coater by air, orIn anycaceaion, right or privilege to conduct any business or render any service for compen- sation
upon the premises of the municipal airport shall be eligible for membership on fine AirportAdvisoryBard. Sections
All members of the Airport Advisory Board mail serve without Compensation, but may6ereimbursedforalleapemsesrasmoblyincurredbythemintheperformanceoftheirdutiesasmembersofsuchBoard, when authorized by the city council. PASSED
