GEORGETOWN, TEXAS REPLACING MEMBERS OF THE
GEORGETOWN VILLAGE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 1 ADVISORY BOARD; APPOINTING TWO
ALTERNATE MEMBERS; AND ESTABLISHING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City has received notice that the terms of two members of the
Georgetown Village Public Improvement District No. 1 Advisory Board (the "Board"), Morris
Clopton and William Knodle, will expire in November 2002, and
WHEREAS, the City has also been asked to appoint two alternate members to the
Board to serve when the regular members are unavailable; and
WHEREAS, the Board recommends that Marlene McMichaels and Ruben Garcia
be appointed as regular members of the Board commencing in November 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Board further recommends that Christy Hall and Pat Whitaker be
appointed as alternate members of the Board to serve if one of the regular members is
unavailable; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the public's best interest to make the
appointments as recommended by the Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution
are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference
herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby
finds that this resolution implements the following Century Plan Element(s):
Governmental Affairs Policy End 15.00 — A high level of cooperation and
involvement exists among Georgetown's citizens and governmental organizations.
and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any
other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of
the Policy Plan.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Georgetown hereby makes the
following appointments to the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District No. 1
Advisory Board, and such appointments shall be effective in accordance with the
Resolution No.

dated November 10, 2001:
Member - Marlene McMichaels
Member - Ruben Garcia
First Alternate - Christy Hall
Second Alternate - Pat Whiteaker
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas this YAL day
of October, 2002.
