HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 200912-DDRESOLUTION NO. r OOM;L—DO A 'I11:1111111111POIN MI INOWWWK01 A A A WHEREAS, the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District No. I Georgetown Village PID"), which was established on September 15, 1998, is managed by a board consisting of the following four residents of Georgetown Village and three representatives of the City of Georgetown, respectively: Jim Mills Tom Roughton Kent James Bill Knodle Randy Morrow, Director of Parks & Recreation Micki Rundell, Director of Finance George Russell, City Manager WHEREAS, Tom Roughton is no longer a resident of the City of Georgetown, thereby creating a vacancy on the Georgetown Village PID board; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the public's best interest to fill the vacancy by appointing Morris Clopton to the board. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements the following Century Plan Element(s): Governmental Affairs Policy End 15.00 — A high level of cooperation and involvement exists among Georgetown's citizens and governmental organizations and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Georgetown hereby appoints Morris Clopton to fill the vacancy on the board of the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District No. 1 created by Tom Roughton no longer being a resident of the City of Georgetown.
