HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 200328-PRESOLUTION NO.,Q,00399- P Wong If, 0:0-18y J: Fil k 111 *3 CA :11 q I ILI r WHEREAS, the Georgetown Public Improvement District No. 1, which was established on September 15, 1998, is managed by a board consisting of the following four residents of Georgetown Village and three representatives of the City of Georgetown, respectively: Jim Mills Tom Roughton Kent James Bill Knodle Randy Morrow, Director of Parks & Recreation Susan Morgan, Director of Finance Bob Hart, City Manager WHEREAS, Susan Morgan and Bob Hart have resigned from employment with the City of Georgetown, thereby creating two vacancies on the board; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the public's best interest to fill these vacancies with the individuals currently serving in the capacities of Acting Director of Finance and Acting City Manager. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements the following Century Plan Element(s): Governmental Affairs Policy End 15.00 — A high level of cooperation and involvement exists among Georgetown's citizens and governmental organizations. and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Georgetown hereby appoints Micki Rundell, Acting Director of Finance, and George Russell, Acting City Manager, to fill the vacancies on the board of the Georgetown Public Improvement District No. I created by the resignations of Susan Morgan and Bob Hart from employment with the City of Georgetown.
