STREET IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, BETWEEN THE SOUTH
MARGIN OF 8TH STREET AND 10 FEET SOUTH OF THE NORTH MARGIN OF
9TH STREET, DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED;A 15FOOT, WIDE STRIP
OFF THE SOUTH MARGIN OF 8TH STREET IN SAID CITY, EXTENDING FROM
THE WEST MARGIN OF WEST STREET TO THE EAST MARGIN OF HODGES
STREET., DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "C" ATTACHED.
WHEREAS, a petition has been presented to the City Council by the Urban Renewal
Agency of the City of Georgetown, with respect to certain properties situated in the
Urban Renewal Project, South Son Gabriel, Tex R-102; and
WHEREAS, said petition states that the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of George-
town is the owner of all of Block 46 of the Original Townsite of Georgetown, Williamson
County,, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Plan for this portion of the City of Georgetown calls
for development of such Block 46, and certain portions of streets adjoining such Block,
such portions of such streets being described in Exhibits "A", "B". and "C", attached
hereto, to be developed as a whole, and that in order for such development to proceed,
it is necessary to vacate and abandon such portions of such streets; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GE,0,RGETOWN,
TEXAS"
that the portions of streets described in Exhibits "A". "B", and "C", attached
hereto' be and the same are hereby vacated, closed and abandoned.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, on First Reading the 14th day of April, 1975; and PASSED on Second and Final
Reading this 12th day of May, 1975.
