TO CHANGE THAT PARCEL OR TRACT OF LAND IN THEN.
PORTERSURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 497, IN THE CITY OF E R E-
TOWN, FROM "Cl LOCAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT" TO " 2A
COMMERCIAL FIRST HEIGHT" AS FIEREINA TER SET FORTH:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of
changing the Zoning Ordinance on -the following described real property:
All that certain parcel or tract of land in the N. Porter Survey, Abstract No. 497, in the
City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and being in the some land described
in a Deed from P. W. Simonds to Robert En Dean et ux, dated June 27 1972, and recorded
in Volume 551, page 247, of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas'. more part-
icularly described as follows:
BEGINNING NIN at an iron stake on the West R.O.W. line of U. S. Highway 31 said point
being the Northeast corner hereof and also being can the East boundary line of a 20�77
acre tract of land remaining out of .the lend described in the Deed from Belford Lumber
Company to J. M. Shell, Jr., of record in Volume 305, page 599 of the Deed Records
of Williamson County, Texas, said beginning paint also being S. 1 deg'. 1 ' E. 227.33 feet.
from an iron stake on the said R.O.W. line which is on the South bank of the North San
Gabriel River and on the East line of the Shell property;
THENCE S. 70 deg* 40` W., 60.06 feet to an iron stake for the Northwest corner hereof;
THENCE S. I deg, 29' E�, 128.72 feet to an iron stake set by a fence corner post for
the Southwest corner hereof;
THENCE N, 39 deg, 02' E.p, 56.72 feet to an iron stake set by a fence corner post the
West. R.O.W. line of U. S. Highway 81 for the Southeast corner hereof;
THENCE N. 1 deg. 13" W., 147.65 feet along the said West R.O.W. line to the PLACE
F BEGINNING, as surveyed on the ground by Russell D. Parker, Registered Public
Surveyor No. 1661 of the State of Texas, during the month of February, 1973; and
WHER AS, the City ouncil.has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning
Ordinance to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report,
and
WHEREAS the City Planning and Zoning Commission before considering said appli-
cation gave notice of such hearing by publishing the sane one time in the Williamson
County S un, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice
stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen
(15) days from the first day of such publication; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing o
said Zoning Ordinance regarding the above described property from "Cl LocalComm-
ercial District" to "C2A, Commercial First Height", which said matter was considered
by said City Planning and Zoning Commission on the 23th day of February, 1974; and
WHEREAS, written notices were givers to all of the owners of the lots within 200
feet of the above described property required by low;

NOW THEREFORE And Be It Resolved by the City "Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown, be amended
so that the property described above shall be and the same is hereby removed from "Cl Local
Commercial District" to "C2A Commercial First Height".
The enactment of this Ordinance being necessary to the immediate preservation of public
business and to provide for the usual daily operation of a commercial enterprise which shall
have and take effect following its second reading and adoption,
First Reading: Read, passed and adopted by unanimous vote, this I I th day of March,
1974.
Second Reading: Read, passed and adopted by unanimous vote, this 8th day of April,
