HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 09.13.2022 CC-SMinutes of a Special Meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Georgetown, Texas Tuesday, September 13, 2022 The Georgetown City Council will meet on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 11:30 AM at t Friends of the Library Room, Georgetown Public Library, 402 W. 8th Street, Georgetown, Texas 78626. The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Mayor Schroeder called the meeting to order at 11:35 a.m. The following Council Members were in attendance: Mayor Josh Schroeder; Amanda Parr, Council Member District 1; Shawn Hood, Council Member District 2; Mike Triggs, Council Member District 3; Ron Garland, Council Member District 4; Kevin Pitts, Council Member District 5 and Mayor Pro Tem; Jake French, Council Member District 6; and Ben Stewart, Council Member District 7. A quorum of Council Members was present. The following staff members were in attendance for the Budget Workshop: City Manager David Morgan; Assistant City Manager Wayne Nero; Assistant City Manager Nick Woolery; Assistant City Manager Laurie Brewer; City Secretary Robyn Densmore; City Attorney Skye Masson; Assistant to the City Manager Jessica Clarke; Senior Buyer Nicole Abrego; Planning Director Sofia Nelson; and Acting Economic Development Director Kim McAuliffe. Legislative Regular Session (This Regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551.) This is a special called Council work session to review presentations from consulting firms for the update to the City's Downtown Master Plan. Council and staff heard presentations from SWA, Freese & Nichols, Design Workshop, and TBG. All presenters reviewed what they would offer when working on the City's Downtown Master Plan. Mayor Schroeder call for a break at 1:17 p.m. and called the meeting back to order at 1:24 p.m. between the presentations from Frees & Nichols and Design Workshop. Formal action for selection of consulting services will take place via Council action.
