A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, UPDATING THE POLE ATTACHMENT FEES AND CHARGES FOR
ALL LICENSING AGREEMENTS FOR COMMUNICATIONS ATTACHMENTS
TO CITY FACILITIES; REPEALING CONFLICTING RESOLUTIONS;
INCLUDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City's policy is to collect 100% of costs for pole attachment related costs as a
result of requests for communications attachments to City facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City previously approved agreements with entities, ensuring the City's
processing, analyzing, designing, engineering, and inspection costs for facilitating said requests are
collected and enhance the City's ability to ensure attachment requirements are met and providing for the
ability to update fees and charges with ninety days' notice to the licensee; and
WHEREAS, the City must perform detailed inspections by professional technicians; and
WHEREAS, the City must facilitate said requests to ensure that City infrastructure retains
structural integrity and is not compromised as attachments are processed; and
WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary to amend the attachment fees and charges to all
agreements as a result of a need to recover costs necessary to facilitate the pole attachment process
effectively and to continue to collect 100% of said costs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this Resolution are hereby
found and declared to be true and correct and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a
part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
SECTION 2. The Pole Attachment Fees and Charges for all Licensing Agreements for
Communications Attachments to City Facilities are hereby updated as shown in Exhibit A.
