Governing Body of the City of Georgetown, Texas
Monday, May 16, 2022
The Georgetown City Council met on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 6:00 PM at the Georgetown Municipal
Complex, 300-1 Industrial Ave., Williamson Conference Room, Georgetown, Texas.

Mayor Schroeder called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The following Council Members were in
attendance: Mayor Josh Schroeder; Shawn Hood, Amanda Parr, Council Member District 1; Council
Member District 2; Mike Triggs, Council Member District 3; Steve Fought, Council Member District 4;
Kevin Pitts, Council Member District 5; and Tommy Gonzalez, Council Member District 7. Jake French,
Council Member District 6 was absent. A quorum of Council Members was present in Council Chambers
and a roll call was performed.
A. Consideration and possible action to approve a Resolution canvassing the votes of the May 7,
2022 General Election, declaring the results to be official -- Robyn Densmore, City Secretary
Densmore presented the Resolution and reviewed the results noting that Ben Stewart was the
winner of the District 7 race.
Densmore read the caption.
Motion by Pitts, second by Fought.

Approved 6-0 (French absent).
B. Swearing in of re-elected Council Member District 3, Mike Triggs -- Robyn Densmore, City
Secretary
Triggs was sworn in by Judge Bill Gravell.

L. Consideration of election from the dais of a Mayor Pro Tern -- Mayor Josh Schroeder
Motion by Triggs to appoint Pitts as Mayor Pro Tem, second by Garland.
Triggs noted Pitts positive track record in the role and his good relationship with the Mayor.

Motion by Stewart, second by Garland to adjourn the meeting.
