HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 11.15.2021 CC-RMinutes of a Special Meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Georgetown, Texas Monday, November 15, 2021 The Georgetown City Council will meet on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the Council Chambers at 510 West 9th St., Georgetown, Texas. The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Mayor Schroeder called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. The following Council Members were in attendance: Mayor Josh Schroeder; Amanda Parr, Council Member District 1; Mike Triggs, Council Member District 3; Steve Fought, Council Member District 4; and Kevin Pitts, Council Member District 5. Shawn Hood, Council Member District 2; and Tommy Gonzalez, Council Member District 7 were absent. A quorum of Council Members was present in Council Chambers and a roll call was performed. Regular Session (This Regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551.) A. Call to Order — Canvass of the November 2, 2021 Election and Swearing In Ceremony B. Consideration and possible action to approve a Resolution canvassing the votes of the election held on November 2, 2021, declaring the results to be official -- Robyn Densmore, City Secretary Densmore noted that Jake French the District 6 election and all City Proposition passed. She added that Proposition A through I were Charter amendments and Proposition J was related to alcohol sales. Densmore read the caption. Motion by Pitts to approve the Resolution as presented, second by Fought Parr — Yes Hood — Absent Triggs — Yes Fought - Yes Pitts - Yes Gonzalez - Absent Approved 4-0 (Hood and Gonzalez absent). C. Swearing in of re-elected Council Member District 6, Jake French -- Robyn Densmore, City Secretary Judge Bill Gravell swore in Mr. French. D. Comments from newly elected District 6 Council Member, Jake French -- Mayor Josh Schroeder French thanked those who assisted with his campaign. Adjournment Motion by French to adjourn, second by Pitts. Parr - Yes Hood - Absent Triggs - Yes Fought - Yes Pitts - Yes French - Yes Gonzalez - Absent Approved 5-0 (Hood and Gonzalez absent).
