A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
REVISED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN FOR THE SOUTH SAN
GABRIEL URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT AREA, NO. TEX R-102.
WIIEREAS, The City of Georgetown, Texas, by and through the Urban
Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown, Texas, heretofore recommended
the adoption of the South San Garbiel Urban Renewal Project, TEX R-102,; and
WHEItEAS, said agency has shown the revised plan for said project to be
economical and feasible and to the best interest of the citizens of the
City; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that a public hearing be called in connection
with the approval and adoption of said Plan, and that a notice of the
same be published three times.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEOR(.FTOWN,
TEXAS:
That a public hearing be held on the 18th day of December, 1967, A.D., at
7:30 p.m. in the County Court Room of Williamson County, Texas, in Georgetown,
Texas, in connection with the approval and adoption of the Urban Renewal
Plan for the South San Gabriel Urban Renewal Project No. TEX R-102, the
boundaries of said project being described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the West ROW line of the I &GN Railroad which
lies on the centerline of State Highway 29;
THENCE 2020+ feet Southerly along the West ROW line of the I & GN
Railroad to the South Property line of West 19th Street extended;
THENCE 380+ feet westerly along the South property line of West 19th
Street to the east property line of the West Side School, Georgetown Inde-
pendent School District;
THENCE 620+ feet Northerly and Easterly along the Fast property line
of said West Side School, to a point in the South line of West 17th Street;
THENCE 430+ feet Westerly along the South property line of West 17th
Street to the East property line of O.L. 53 City of Georgetown;
THENCE 650± feet Northerly to the Meanders of the South San Gabriel
River;
TIIENCE 1900+ Feet Northerly and Easterly, down stream along the meanders
of the South San Gabriel River to a point of intersection of the South
property line of West Tenth Street extended;
THENCE 200± feet Westerly to the West Bank of the South San Gabriel
River;
THENCE 5400± feet Northerly and Easterly along the bank of the River
to a point of intersection of the lot line between Forrest and Rock Street
extended;
THENCE 1200± feet Southerly along the lot line between Forrest and
Rock Street to a point in the South property line of West 4th Street;
THENCE 460+ feet Westerly along the South property line of West 4th Street
to the West ROW line of the I K GN Railroad;
T11LNCE 2720+ feet Southerly and Westerly along the West ROWline to the
tacenterlineofSte Highway 29 and the Point of Beginning; containing 151.7
acres, more or less.
BE IT FURTIiER RESOLVED THAT THE City Secretary issue a notice in accord-
ance with the requirements of the law to all interested parties as to the
time and place and purpose of said hearing.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY TRE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS,
this the 13th day of November, A.D., 1967.
