AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON
THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH OR CAUSE TO BE
PUBLISHED NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, has at its meeting
on this day held, considered the propriety and the advisability of instituting annexation
proceedings relative to a tract of land hereinafter mentioned; and,
WHEREAS, Article 970a of Vernon's Civil Statutes prescribing procedures to be
followed regarding the publication of notice, scheduling of hearing and other such mat-
te rs:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS that on the J_3 day of J 19J,

town, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing, giving a l N nterested persons the
right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Georgetown, Texas,
of the property described in Exhibit "A" .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Georgetown is hereby
authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a
newspaper having general circulation in the City, and in the above desc►ibed territory
more than twenty (20) days, nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the pub4;z hear-
ing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (chapter 160, Act;: of the 58th
Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civi i Stotuies).

BEING A 67.363 ACRE TRACT OF LAND, 17.9 ACRES BEING IN THE
WILLIAM ADDISON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 219 14.0 ACRES BEING OUT
OF THE JOSEPH ROBERTSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 454, AND 35.4
ACRES BEING OUT OF THE JOSEPH MOTT SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 427 IN
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, FURTHER,14.6 ACRES OF SAID 67.363 ACRE
TRACT BEING OUT OF THE MISSOURI-KANSAS-TEXAS RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-
WAY AND 52.318 ACRES BEING OUT OF THE MILTON L. COCKRUM TRACT

BEGINNING at a point on the centerline of said Missouri -Kansas -
Texas Railroad Right -of -Way at Engineer's Station 964 + 50, said
point being on the present city limits of the City of Georgetown,
Texas;
THENCE, S 630 00' 00" W. with said city limits, 50.00 feet to
a point on the Westerly Right -of -Way line of said Railroad for
the Northwest corner hereof;
THENCE, leaving said city limits and continuing along said
Right -of -Way line the following six (6) courses and distances:
1) S 270 00' 00" E, 635.00 feet to a point for an ell
corner hereof;
2) S 630 00' 00" W, 50.00 feet to a point for an ell
corner hereof;
3) S 270 00' 00" E, 700.00 feet to a point for an ell
corner hereof;
4) N 63° 00' 00" E, 50.00 feet to a point for an ell
corner hereof;
5) S 270 00' 00" E, at 1413.66 feet pass a point on the
Northerly Right -of -Way line of County Road No. 111,
also known as Westinghouse Road, at 1460.83 feet pass
a point on the Southerly Right -of -Way line of said
County Road, at 2466.01 feet pass a point that bears
N 650 57' E, 0.79 feet from a concrete monument mark-
ing the Southeast corner of the Charles A. Johnson
tract and the Northeast corner of the John E. Meredith
tract, 3000.72 feet to a point at Offset Station PC
1007 + 85.72, said point being the beginning of a
curve concave to the West having a radius of 11401.20
feet;
6) 940.16 feet, along the are of said curve, through a
central angle of 04° 43' 29", said curve's long chord
bears S 24' 38' 15" E, 939.89 feet, to a point at Offset
Station 1017 + 30 for the Southwest corner hereof;
THENCE, leaving said Right -of -Way line of said Railroad and con-
tinuing along the Southerly boundary line hereof, N 670 43' 29" E,
at 50.00 pass Centerline Station 1017 + 30 of said Railroad, at
100.00 feet pass a point on the Easterly Right -of -Way line of
said Railroad, 500.00 feet to a point for the Southeast corner
hereof, said point being the beginning of a curve concave to
the West having a radius of 11901.20 feet;
THENCE, along the Northeasterly line hereof the following six
(6) courses and distances:
1) 981.39 feet, along the arc of said curve, through a
central angle of 04' 43' 29", said curve's long
chord bears N 24° 38' 15" W, 981.11 feet, to a point
at Offset Station PC 1007 + 85.72;
2) N 27' 00' 00" W, at 1474.94 feet pass a point on the
Southerly Right -of -Way line of said County Road, at
1523.44 feet pass a point on the Northerly Right -of -
Way line of said County Road, 3000.72 feet to a point
that bears N 63' 00' 00" E, 450.00 feet from Center-
line Station 977 + 85 for an ell corner hereof;
3) S 63° 00' 00" W, 50.00 feet to a point for an ell
corner hereof;
4) N 270 00' 00" W, 700.00 feet to a point that bears
N 630 00' 00" E, 400.00 feet from Centerline Station
970 + 85 for an ell corner hereof;
5) N 63° 00' 00" E, 50.00 feet to a point for an ell
corner hereof;
6) N 270 00' 00" W, 635.00 feet to a point on the
present city limits of the City of Georgetown for
the Northeast corner hereof;
THENCE, leaving said line and continuing along the Northwesterly
boundary line hereof, and said city limit line S 630 00' 00" W,
450.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, containing 67.363 acres
of land.
