AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF
CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 42.50 ACRES OF LAND,
WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND
ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMIT OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, two public hearings by the City Council of the City
of Georgetown, Texas, where all interested persons were provided
with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of
that certain tract of land located in Williamson County, Texas
consisting of 42.50 acres, were held, the first being at City
Hall on the 9th day of November, 1982, and the second hearing
being in the area proposed to be annexed on the 19th day of
November, 1982; and
WHEREAS, notices of such public hearings were published
according to law in a newspaper having general circulation in the
City of Georgetown, Texas, and in the above described territory
to be annexed on the 28th day of October, 1982, for the first
such hearing, which date is not more than 20 days nor less than
10 days prior to that hearing, and on the 7th day of November,
1982, for the second hearing, which date is not more 20 days nor
less than 10 days prior to said hearing; and
WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of
Georgetown, Texas on the 1st day of January, 1982 was 4,012.2
acres; and
WHEREAS, the population of the City of Georgetown, Texas is
9,468 inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, the above described territory lies within the
extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown, Texas;
and
WHEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent and
contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the above described territory contains 42.50 acres;
now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1. The following described land and territory lying
adjacent and contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas is
hereby added and annexed to the City of Georgetown, Texas and
said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included
in the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the
present boundary limits of said City at the various points
contiguous to the area hereinafter described are altered and
amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of
the City of Georgetown, Texas, to -wit:
BEING that certain tract and parcel of land described in
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
for all purposes.
Section 2. The above described territory and the area so
annexed shall be a part of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the
property so added hereby shall bear its pro-rata share of the
taxes levied by the City of Georgetown, Texas and inhabitants
thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of all
the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances,
resolutions and regulations of the City of Georgetown, Texas.

PERIMETER FIELD NOTES:
BEING 42,50 acres of land, situated, in the Clement Stubblefield
Survey, Abstract No, 588, and the Ruidosa Irrigation Company Survey,
Abstract No, 715, in Williamson County, Texas; said land being a
portion of that certain 179,68-acre tract as conveyed to Wallace
Luerson by deed as recorded in Volume 684, Page 898, of the Deed Records
of Williamson County, Texas,- Surveyed on the ground in the month of
July, 1979, under the supervision of Don H. Bizzell, Registered Professional
Engineer, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin set at a fence corner on the South margin
of Farm -to -Market Road 2243; said point being the N, W, corner of
the above -referenced Luerson Tract and the N. W, corner;
THENCE, S 19" 02' E, 852,19 feet to a nail found in a fence post,
and S IS' 06' E, 113,10 feet to an iron pin set for the S,W, corner
hereof;
THENCE, N 640 54' E, 1531.49 feet to an -iron pin set for the S.W.
corner of a subdivision known as Thousand Oaks Subdivision, as
recorded in Cabinet C. Slides 376-380, of the Plat Records of
Williamson County, Texas, for the S.E. corner hereof;
THENCE, along the West line of the said Thousand Oaks Subdivision
as follows:
N 350 03' W, 60,00 feet to an iron pin found;
N 270 02' 30" W, 235,68 feet to an iron pin found;
N 180 11' W, 543.00 feet to an iron pin found;
N 220 12' 30" W, 355,88 feet to an iron pin found;
N 710 49' E, 65,00 feet to an iron pin set; and,
N 180 11' W, 196,86 feet to an iron pin found on the
South margin of the said Farm -to -Market Road 2243,
for the N.W. corner of the said Thousand Oaks
Subdivision for the N, E, corner hereof;
THENCE, along the South margin of the said Farm -to -Market 2243,
as follows:.
S 66Q 23' W, 221,70 feet to a concrete monument
found at the beginning of a curve to the left
(R= 1392.69 feet) ;
THENCE, along the said curve (long chord bears
S $51, 10"W, 540.24 feet) , a distance of 543.68 feet
to a concrete monument found;
THENCE, S 44° 01' W, 519,72 feet to a concrete monument
found at the beginning of a curve to the left
(R= 3779.83 feet) ;
THENCE, along the said curve (long chord bears
S 420 22' W, , 225, 75 feet) , a distance of 225.78 feet
to a concrete monument found;
THENCE, S 400 40' W, 145,54 feet to the place of
BEGINNING and containing 42,50 acres of land,
