AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON
COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS
OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND
GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE IN-
HABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID
FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES
OF THE SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly signed
and acknowledged by each and every person or corporation
having an interest in the following described property, to -wit:
BEING 16.95 acres in the N. Porter Survey, Abstract No.
497 in Williamson County, Texas, and being out of and a
part of a tract of 72.80 acres described in a deed from
Russell Parker and wife, Irene Williams Parker to Russell
D. Parker and Ronald W. Parker, deed dated April 24, 1973
and recorded in the Deed Records of Williamson County,
Texas.
BEGINNING at an iron stake marking the most northerly
corner of Lot 171, Block 6 of Williams Addition, Unit 2
to the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas,
said point being on the Northwest boundary line of said
addition and also being the Northeast corner of a tract
of 6.93 acres of land described in a deed from Russell
Parker and wife, Irene Williams Parker to Russell D.
Parker, et al, of record in Vol. 537, Page 485 of the
Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas;
THENCE N 430 08' W, 305.00 feet along the Northerly
boundary line of the said 6.93 acre tract to the most
westerly corner of this subdivision;
THENCE with the westerly and northerly boundary line
hereof as follows:
N 460 52' E, 520.00 feet;
S 430 08' E, 175.00 feet;
N 460 52' E, 56.00 feet;
S 400 28' E, 358.49 feet;
S 590 18' E, 64.96 feet;
S 800 03' E, 267.91 feet;
S 710 17' E , 410.46 feet;
S 40 42' E, 379.56 feet;
S 60 47' E, 80.79 feet;
S 480 47' E, 319.13 feet to the most easterly corner hereof;
said point being on the Southeasterly margin of Janis Drive;
THENCE S 440 59' W, 155.77 feet and S 37' 19' W, 163.29
feet to the most southerly corner hereof;
THENCE N 500 41' W, 50.03 feet to a point on the North-
westerly margin of Janis Drive and being the most southerly
corner of Lot 3, Block 7 hereof;
THENCE N 480 47' W, at 140 feet, the most easterly corner
of Williams Addition Unit 2, and continuing along the
boundary line of Williams Addition, Unit 2 for a total
distance of 455.7 feet;
THENCE continuing with the northerly boundary line of
Williams Addition, Unit 2 and the southerly boundary
line hereof, as follows:
N 80 04' E, 290.1 feet;
N 360 22' W, 127.17 feet;
N 820 10' W, 470.76 feet;
N 430 08' W, 434.31 feet;
S 460 52' W, 340.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
WHEREAS, said tract of land is contiguous and adjacent
to the City of Georgetown, Texas, and is not more than one-
half (1/2) mile in width, and
WHEREAS, said petition was presented to the City Council
on the day of , 1973, such date being
not less than 5 and not more than 30 days from the date hereof,
and
WHEREAS, after hearing such petition and the arguments
for and against the same the City Council has voted to grant
such petition and to annex said territory to the City of
Georgetown, Texas;
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of
the City of Georgetown, Texas:
That the foregoing described property be and the same is
hereby annexed to the City of Georgetown, Williamson County,
Texas, and that the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, be and the same are hereby extended to include the above
described territory within the City Limits of the City of
Georgetown, Texas, and the same shall hereafter be included
within the territorial limits of said City, and said land and
the future inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to
all rights and privileges of other citizens of the City of
Georgetown, Texas, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances
of said City.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file with the
County Clerk of Georgetown, Texas, a certified copy of
this ordinance.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of all members of the
City Council the ZQ-day of 1973, and
passed by affirmative vote of all members of the City
Council on the 2nd reading this d� day of � �
