A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH OR CAUSE TO BE PUBLISHED
NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the City Council cf the City of Georgetown
has, at its meeting on this day held, considered the propriety
and the advisability of instituting annexation proceedings
relative to a tract of land hereinafter mentioned; and
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly filed
by all of the owners of said tract of land; and
WHEREAS, Article 970a of Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes
prescribes procedures to be followed regarding the publication
of notice, scheduling of hearing and other such matters:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN that on the day of , 1978,
at o'clock in the City Council Chamber of City Hall
of the City of Georgetwon, Texas, the City Council will hold
a public hearing, giving all interested persons the right to
appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of
Georgetown, Texas, of the following described property,'to-wit:
WILLIAMS ADDITION ,UNIT FIVE (5), a subdivision in
Williamson County, Texas, according to the map or plat
thereof of record in Vol. Page Plat Records,
Williamson County, Texas
(SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED)
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the the Mayor of the City of
Georgetown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice
of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper
having general circulation in the City, and in the above described
territory not more than twenty (20) days, nor less than ten(10)
days prior to the date of said public hearing, all in accordance
with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the
58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a,
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes).
PASSED AND APPROVED this the -Z/ day of /eQjyefj, 1978,
at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas.

EXHIBIT "A"
BEING 1.65 acres of land in the Nicholas Porter Survey,
Abstract No. 497, in Williamson County, Texas, and being
out of and a part of a 72.80 acre tract described in a
deed from Russell Parker and wife, Irene Williams Parker
to Russell D. Parker and wife, Mary F. Parker and Ronald
W. Parker and wife, Billie Ruth Parker, deed of record
in Vol. 571, Page 148 of the 'Deed Records of Williamson
County, Texas.
BEGINNING at an iron stake marking the most southerly
corner of Lot 1, Blk. 14 of Williams Addition Unit IV,
a subdivision -of -Record in Cab. C, Slide 355, of the Plat
Records of Williamson County, Texas; said point also
being on the Northeast margin of Northwest Blvd. and being
the most westerly corner of Lot 1 hereof; this point
stands approximately S 73022'E, 5,315.00 feet from the
Northwest corner of the Nicholas Porter Survey;
THENCE S 48°47'E, 139.13 feet and S 80°28'E, 58.62 feet
along the Southeast boundary line of Williams Addition
Unit IV to a corner hereof, said point being the most
westerly corner of a 1.802 acre tract conveyed to the
E. F. G. Corporation, deed of record in Vol. 608, Page
775, of the Deed Records of Williamson'County, Texas,
this point is where the North margin of Northwest Blvd.
intersects the,Southeast margin of Janis Dr.;7
THENCE N 41°00'E, 356.21 feet along the'proposed Southeast
margin of Janis Dr. and the Northwest boundary line of
the said 1.802 acre tract to the most northerly corner
thereof, and being the most easterly corner of this
subdivision, said point also being on the Southwest
boundary line of a 6.73 acre tract conveyed to Carter and
Hughes Investments, deed of record in Vol. 677, Page 599,
of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas;
THENCE N 48°47'W, 187.67 feet to an iron stake marking the
most northerly corner hereof, said point being on the
Southeast boundary line of Williams Addition Unit IV and
being S 41913'W, 13.00 feet from the most easterly corner
of Lot 5, Block 14 thereof;
THENCE S 41013'W, 387.00 feet along the Southeast boundary
line of the said Block 14 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
