A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH OR CAUSE TO BE PUBLISHED
NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the_City Council of the City of Georgetown
has, at its meeting on this day held, considered the property
and the advisability of instituting annexation proceedings
relative to a tract of land hereinafter mentioned; and
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly filed
by all of the owners of said tract of land; and
WHEREAS, Article 970a of Vernon'.s Texas Civil Statutes
prescribed-proedures to be followed regarding-the'.publication
of notice, scheduling of hearing and other such matters;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY /T1HE/ CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF GEORGETOWN that on the `7 day of `: G 7 1979,
at o'clock in the City Council Chamber of City Hall
of the City of Georgetown, Texas, the City Council will hold
a public hearing, giving all interested persons the right to
appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of
Georgetown, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit:
WILLIAMS ADDITION, UNIT 6, a subdivision in Williamson
County, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof of
record in Vol. Page Plat Records, Williamson
County, Texas
(SEE ATTACHED EXHIBIT"A")
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Georgetown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice
of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper
having general circulation in the City, and in the above described
territory note more than twenty (20) days, nor less than ten (10)
days prior to the date of said public hearing, all in accordance
with the Municipal Annexation Act (Cahpter 160, Acts of the
58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a,
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes).

BEING 13.92 acres of land out of the Nicholas Porter Survey,
Abstract No. 497, Williamson County, Texas, and also being a
portion of that certain 32.57 acre tract of land as conveyed
to CASKEY THORNTON VENTURE, INC. recorded in Volume , page
of the Deed Records, Williamson County, Texas; said tract
of being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin found in the most westerly corner of
the herein described tract, same being an iron pin in the most
southerly corner of lot 1, GOLDEN OAKS, as recorded in Cabinet
B, Slides 394-397 and also an iron pin in the northerly line of
Lot 10, Block 13, WILLIAMS ADDITION, UNIT 4, as recorded in
Cabinet C, Slides 355-356; said pin bears S 88° 22' E, 5062.34
feet more or less, from the recorded Northwest corner of said
Nicholas Porter Survey, Abstract No. 497;
