AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON
THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH OR CAUSE TO BE
PUBLISHED NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, has at its meeting
on this day held, considered the propriiaty and the advisability of instituting annexation
proceedings relative to a tract of land hereinafter mentioned; and,
WHEREAS, Article 970a of Vernon's Civil Statutes prescribing procedures to be
followed regarding the publication of notice, scheduling of hearing and other such mat-
te rs:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY HE CITY C UNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGET�WN, TEXAS that on the day of 19�,
at 6o: `�� o'clock in the City Council hambers of the ity Hall of the City of George-
town, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing, giving all interested persons the
right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Georgetown, Texas,
of the property described in Exhibit "A" .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Georgetown is hereby
authorized and directed to cause notice of such public healing to be published once in a
newspaper having general circulation in the City, and in the above described territory not
more than twenty (20) days, nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the public hear-
ing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (chapter 160, Acts of the 58th
Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes).
