TO: Planning & Zoning Commission
City of Georgetown
Georgetown, Texas
FROM: Harold S.. Parker.
SUBJECT: Partial easement abandonment
Dear Commission Members:
We are the owners of Lots 15, 16, and 17, Block 2
Country Club Acres, Unit IV, in the City of Georgetown, Williamson
County, Texas.
There is dedicated a public golf cart path and public
walkway or pathway being 10 feet in width and primarily covering
an area of 5 feet on either side of Lots 15, 16, and 17, as
aforesaid and extending from Gabriel View Drive to the common
northwesterly corner of Lot 15 and southwesterly corner of Lot 17,
There is a public utility easement running along this same described
golf cart path and public walkway. The said public pathway does
not extend beyond that point and stops at property adjoining on
the west owned by Harold S. Parker, et al (as shown below).
This easement was granted to the public by Harold S.
Parker, et al, upon dedicating Country Club Acres, Unit IV, with
the intention of granting to all of the property owners, not only
in Country Club Acres, Unit IV , but in other bordering subdivisions
and additions, access to Country Club Road by a convenient route
rather than such property owners having to pursue a circuitous route
on public streets and thoroughfares to reach said Country Club
Road.
It is our desire, with and in cooperation of Harold S.
Parker, et al, to abandon the golf cart path and public pathway
as aforesaid, without disturbing the public utility easement, since
said golf cart path and public pathway does not actually extend to
Country Club Road, but stops at a common corner of Lots 15 and 17
and it is also the desire and intention of Harold S. Parker, et al,
who are also owners of Lot 12, Block 2, Country Club acres, Unit IV,
to dedicate to the public a 5 foot walkway easement extending along
the most northern line thereof, and being the common lot line of
Lots 12 and 13, from a point in Power Circle and across property
adjoining Country Club Acres, Units III and IV, to a point'in
Country Club Road and Harold S. Parker, et al, do hereby agree to
dedicate such walkway easement to the public upon the abandonment of
the aforesaid.golfcart path $and walkway easement to afford to the
property owners and to the public a convenient walkway or foot path
from a cent subdivisions to said Countr Club road.
