HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 10.22.2019 CC-SNotice of a Special Meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Georgetown, Texas Tuesday, October 22, 2019 The Georgetown City Council will meet on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 3:30 PM at the Council Chambers, 510 W 91h Street, Georgetown, Texas. The city of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Mayor Ross called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m. The following Council Members were in attendance. Mayor Dale Ross; Mike Triggs, Council Member District 3; Steve Fought, Council Member District 4; Kevin Pitts, Council Member District 5; Rachael Jonrowe, Council Member District 6; and Tommy Gonzalez, District 7. District 1 is vacant and Valerie Nicholson, Council Member District 2 was absent. Legislative Regular Session A. First Public Hearing for the annexation of approximately 80.79 acres of the City -owned right- of-way situated in part in the Joseph Thompson Survey, Abstract No. 608, in part in the John Powell Survey, Abstract No. 491, and in part of the Lewis J. Dyches Survey, Abstract No. 180, to be known as the Southwest Bypass (2019-7-ANX) -- Sofia Nelson, CNU-A, Planning Director Nelson presented the item and reviewed the process for the annexation. Mayor Ross opened the Public Hearing at 3:34 p.m. and closed at same time as there were no speakers. Adjournment Motion to adjourn by Fought, second by Gonzalez. Approved 5-0.
