A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, UPDATING EMPLOYEE MEDICAL AND
DENTAL PREMIUMS FOR THE 2019 PLAN YEAR.
WHEREAS, per Fiscal and Budgetary Policy, annual premiums were recommended to City Council through
a collaborative process between the Employee Benefits Committee and external Health Benefits Consulting,
using historical data and other analytical analysis.
WHEREAS, the Employee Benefits Committee considered multiple options to achieve a 5% increase for
employees for both the medical and dental plans. The City Council has determined that it is appropriate to
accept the recommendations of the Employee Benefits Committee and the General Government and
Finance Advisory Board consistent with City budget increasing employee medical and dental premiums
effective January of 2020 as follows:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN TEXAS:
SECTION ONE. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this Resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
SECTION TWO. This Resolution shall become effective on they d y of 52019.
