BE IT ORDAINED BY TQ CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF GEORGETOWD, TEXAS:
(1) The City Council makes the following findings Of fact;
as, That all of that certain streWor alley which lies
between Block 1 and Block 2 of Hart Addition to the
City of Georgetown, Texas, has not been used for
street or alley purposes for more than 20 years;
b. That for the benefit of the general public and par-
ticularly for the benefit of the citizens of ,a or
Texas, the traffic which connects 16th Street ease of
Hart &tract is now routed over and has been for many
years routed over a relocatei street across land belong-
ing to the city of Georgetown, Texas, and the Geor;etowm�
of Mills as described below;
ce The City Council finds that it is fcr the best interest
of the citizens of Geor;etown, Texas, that the street or
alley which lies between Block No. I and Plock No. 29
Hart Addition be vacated, abandoned and closed;
3 d. That the only abutting property owners on the street or
alley to be vacated, abandoned and closqd is the GeorGetown
Oil Mill, inc. and the City of Georgetown; and that said
Georgetown Oil Mill, through its Receiver, A. H. Baker,
has petitioned the City to vacate, abandon and close said
Street;
eb in consideration of the City's vacatinS, abandoninC and
closing said Street, the GeorSotown Oil Mill acting upon
proper authority of its Receiver, will convey to the City
for street purposes the relocated street which is upon the
property of the Geor;etown Oil Yill, and which said relocated
street is described as follows9
BEGINNING in the fast line of the neorgetown Railroad R&V
at the intersection of the or line of 17th Street;
THENOE Worth along the East ROE line of the Georgetown Rail-
road Company. a distance of 320 feet for the beginning point
of this lot;

property the same also being the East line of the Georgetowrl
Oil Mill property, a distance of 50 feet for the N. E. corner
hereof;

Point of Beginning.
(2) NOW, THEREFORE BE !T RESOLVED by this Ordinanc that all of
that portion of a stree or alley between Block No. 1 and Uook Yo. 2 of
Hart "ddition in the City of Geor.Yetown, Texas, be and the same is hereby
vacated, abandoned and closed. The Mayor of the City of C orgetown, Texas,
be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a conveyance QT the abandoned
street or alley to the Georgetown Oil Mill upon the execution and delivery
by the Georgetown Oil Mill acting by and through the 2ece0rer, of a deed
to the City of Georgetown, all of itsyj,ght, title and int4rest in the,re-
located street described in Paragraph e, which land shall 'Le used for a.
street.
(3) The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the
immediate preservation of the public business and to provife for the usual
daily operation of a municipal, department,, it is declared 'o be an emergency
measure, which shall have and take effect following its pr:sent reading and
adoption.
