"That each alderman, to be elected
It said general

election, shall receive a salary of ten (10,00 ) Dolla's
per month

paid monthly, Mayor to be elected to receive $40.00 per

the term for which he is elected*
That the fact that it is necessary
to fix the
salaries of the said officers prior to the date of the
aid election
creates an emergency making it necessary that the rules
requiring that
an ordinance be read at three Separate meetings prior t
its passage,
be suspended, and that the said rules are hereby susperz
ed, and this
ordinance is at once passed, and that it take effect from
and after
its passage*
