AN ORDINANCE A MENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS
ON THE 12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968, AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT
MAP. SAID MAP LOCATED AT THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ECRETARY, 103
WEST 7TH STREET, GEORGETOWN,, TEXAS, AND, MAKING HIS AMENDMENT
A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE; TO I HANGE THAT
PARCEL OR TRACT OF,LAND IN THE N. PORTER SURVEY, JABSTRACT NO.
4971 IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, FROM "RS SINGLE IfAMILY DISTRICT"
TO "RM-2 MULTIPLE FAMILY- DISTRICT" AS HEREINAFTER SE FORTH:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY1, OF GEORGETOWN,

WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council fa the purporse of chang-
ing the Zoning ordinance on the following described real property:
BEING 1.485 acres in the N. Porter Survey, Abstract No. 497 in Williamson county,
Texas, and being out of and a part of a 36.31 acre tract described in deed from Russell
Parker and wife, Irenen Williams Parker to Russell D. Parker and wifE Mary F. Parker and
Rondald W. Parker and wife, Billie Ruth Parker, said deed being of r( ord in Vol. 560,
Page 318 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; and bein j out of and a part
of a 78.2 acre tract of land described in a deed from Russell Parker at d wife, Irene Williams
Parker to Russell D. Parker and wife, Mary F. Parker and Rondold W. arker and wife,
Billie Ruth Parker, said deed being of record in Vol. 571, Page 148 the Deed Records
of Williamson County, Texas.,
BEGINNING at an iron stake marking the most westerly corner here, f, said point being
N 41000' E, 333.28 feet from the most westerly corner of the above re �erred to 36.31 acre
tract, and being on the Southeast margin of Janis Drive and being N n44046'E, 13.30
feet from the most easterly corner of Williams Addition, Unit III of thi City of Georetown,
Texas; fl
THENCE N 41000-E, 191.34 feet to a point for the most northerlyco e r hereof, said
point being where the said Southeast margin of Janis Drive intersects he West margin
of a 70 foot wide street;
THENCE S 72 0 13' E, 284.67 feet along the said West margin of the foot wide street to
an iron stake marking the most easterly corner hereof, said point alsoleing the most north-
erly corner of a 20.00 acre tract conveyed to M. M. Casey, Limited 1 0. Two;
THENCE S 41013- W, 304.55 feet along the Northwest boundary lin of the said 20.00
acre tract to an iron stake marking the most westerly corner hereof;
THENCE N 48047'W, 260.47 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING
WHEREAS,, the City Council has submitted the proposed change
once to the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommends
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission before co
ation gave notice of such hearing by publishing the same one time in
Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which
time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than fi
from the first day of such publication; and
WHEREAS the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approv
said Zoning Ordinance regarding the above described property from
District" to "RM-2 Multiple Family District", which said matter was

This Ordinance shall become effective on first reading, the second reading being

AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE COLLECTION OF GARBAGE AND TRASH
IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AND IN OTHER AREAS SERVED WITH
CITY UTILITIES: DEFINING CERTAIN WORKS: REGULATING THE TYPE OF CONTAIN-
ERS: REQUIRING THE KEEPING OF CONTAINERS: PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECT-
iON OF GARBAGE AND BRUSH AND OTHER WASTE MATERIALS: SETTING PROCED-
URE FOR FIXING RATES AND CHARGES: REQUIRING MANDATORY RESIDENTIAL
COLLECTION: REQUIRING THE DISPOSAL OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE AND WASTE
FROM BUILDING OPERATIONS BY OWNER: PROHIBITING THE ACCUMULATIONS
OF WASTE MATTER: REGULATING THE BURNING OF TRASH AND OTHER WASTE
MATTER: REGULATING THE REMOVAL OF WASTE MATERIALS AND THEIR DIS-
POSAL: REGULATING SANITARY LANDFILL: PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT
HEREOF AND FOR PENALITIES FOR VIOLATION: PROVIDING A SAVING CLAUSE:
AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF THE DESCRIPTIVE CAPTAIN
AND PENALTY CLAUSE HEREOF.
WHEREAS, the collection and disposal of garbage vitally affects public health and
welfare; and
WHEREAS, in the course of protecting the health and welfare of the citizens of the City
of Georgetown and of the public in general, it is incumbent upon the governing body of
the City of Georgetown, by virtue of the statutes of the State of Texas, to provide adequate
garbage collection and disposal services for the citizens of the City of Georgetown and those
citizens in the areas served by said City of Georgetown and those citizens in the areas
served by said city, with water, sewer service, or electrical service or all such services
or part of said services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN:
SECTION.]. Scope of the Ordinance.:
The provisions of this.ordinance shall apply to all territory within and without the,
corporate limits of the City of Georgetown served by said city with utilities as herein defined.
