BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY, COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETU."N, TEXAS:
1.
The Ivarsha:i', and Street Commissioner small receive for his
services, as such I°arshal, the sum of Thirty-five Dollars per month,
and as such .Street Commissioner, the swn of fifteen Dollars per month,
both payable monthly. He shall receive such fees in criminal cases
as are now provided by law in all cases in which he May be entitled
to fees in the Corporation Court, but the Citry shall not be liable
for such fees, except when they are worked out on the street or
public works of said city, and then the.'City shall pay only one-half
of the fees. so worked out.
2.
.The Assessor and Collector shall receive as compensation for his
services for assessing property for taxation the sur, of five per
cent on the General and Street funds, and one per cent on other
funds, on the total of his rolls of assessment after the same have
been made up and accepted by the Board of Equalization of said City
and the City Council, and he shall receive as compensation for' the
eollaFction of said taxes the sum of five per cent on all the ad valorem
taxes in the Grneral and Street funds so collected by him, and the sun
of One per cent on all the other funds so cdllected by hin, t1je same
to be payable monthly at any time after it becomes due.

The City Secretary shall receive as compensation for his

services the sun of One Hundred Dollars per year, payable monthly, and
he shall further receive all fees' allowed him by larr in the Corporation.
Court of said City, but the City shall not be liable fbr such fees
in the Corporation Court, except Aen the sane,are worked out on the
streets or other public works of the City, and then the City shall
pay only one-half of the fees so worked out .

The City Attorney shall receive as compensation for his services
the sur of Five Dollars in each case in the Corporation Court in said
City in which a plea of guilty is entered and the sum DD Ten Dollars
for every conviction in said Court, in which a plea of not guilty
is entered and a trial results in a conviction, these ar+ounts, however,

are not to come out of the City except where the fine is worked out
on the streets or other public works of said City and then only half
of such fees are to be paid by the City, as is governed by the lacy
regulating corporation courts in this state. And the City Attorney
is to receive such other compensation as may be allowed by the City
Council frim tine to time for other services rendered.
5.
The Treasurer of the City'shall receive as compensation for his
services the sum of Fifty Dollars per year, payable monthly.
6.
Each of the three aldermen to be elected on said date shall
receive as compensation Tor their services the sum of Three Dollars
for each meeting Of the City Council a' tended by them, the same to
be payable at each meeting Df the Couneil.
