HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 77-17 - REZ Production Credit76 ORDINANCE NO. 17 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON THE 12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968, AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE THE PROPERTY OF PRODUCTION CREDIT ASSOCIA- TION ON 1H 35 1N THE CITY OF - GEORGETOWN, TEXAS ACCORDING TO THE MAP THEREOF FROM C-1 COMMERCIAL TO C-26 COMMERCIAL SECOND HEIGHT AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH: BE 1T ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of changing the zoning ordinance on the following described real estate: BEING 1.776 acres in the N. Porter Survey, Abstract No. 497 in Williamson County, Texas, and being out of and a part of a 4.47 acre tract of land described in a deed from Russell Parker, et ux, to Austin Production Credit Association, of record in Vol. 523, Page 473, of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas. BEGINNING at an iron stake found in the West R. O. W. line of IH 35 for the Northeast corner hereof, said point also being the Northeast corner of the above referred to 4.47 acre tract, THENCE N 78026'W 398.96 feet along the North boundary line of the said 4.47 acre tract to a point for the Northwest corner hereof; THENCE S 29018'W, 204.89 feet to a point in the South boundary line of the said 4.47 acre tract for the Southwest corner thereof; THENCE S 79006'E, 400.47 feet to an iron stake found in the West R. O. W. line of I H 35 for the Southeast corner hereof, said point also being the Southeast corner of the said 4.47 acre tract; THENCE N 29018'E, 200.00 feet along the West R. 0. W. line of IH 35 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the zoning ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its recommendation and report; and, WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from C-1 Commercial to C-211 Commercial Second Height, which said meeting was held on the 9th day of August, 1977; and, WHEREAS, the City Council, before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, gave notice of such hearing by publishing the some one time in the WILLIAMSON COUNTY SUN, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which notice stated the time and place of hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen days from the first day of such publication; and WHEREAS, written notice was given to all of the owners of the lots within 200 feet of the above described property as required by law; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission approve the change aforesaid in the Zoning Ordinance, said approval being given by said Commission on August 9, 1977, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of George- town, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown, be amended so that the property described above shall be and the same is hereby removed from C-1 Commercial to C-213 Commercial Second Height. Read, Passed, and adopted by 4 votes AYE, and 0 votes NAY, this 17th day of August 1977, on first reading.
