applicable to said election, and in order to comply with said Code, an order should be passed establishing
the procedure to be followed in said election, and designating the voting place for said election.

tion supplies to conduct said election.
The order in which the names of the candidates are to be printed on the ballot shall be determined by a
drawing by the City Secretary as provided by Article 6.05 c. Subd. 3.
The Mayor shall give notice of this election in accordance with the terms and provisions of Article 4.05
of the Election Code and returns of said notice shall be made as provided in said Article 9.05, and the DIayor
shall issue all necessary orders and writs for said election and returns of said election shall be made to the
Council, Commissioners' immediately after the closing of the polls.
It is further found and determined that in accordance with the order of this governing body the

The polls at each of the above designated polling places shall on said election day be open from 7:00 _

within said City and said place of absentee voting shall remain open for at least eight hours on each day for absentee
voting %hich Is not a Saturday, a Sunday, or an oMchd State holiday, beginning on the 20th day and continuing

In accordance with previous order wherein it was determined that the electronic voting systern%votirlg machiucst
shall be used in the above mentioned election for absentee voting by personal appearance, and in at:cordance with
said order and the Election Code, as Presiding judge,
and as Clerks, are hereby appointed the Special Canvassing
Board for said election.!
Absentee voting, bt>th by personal appearance and by mail, shall be by paper ballots and shall be canvassed
by a special canvassing board, and as Presiding judge
and as Clerks, are hereby appointed the Special Canvassin,

voters of said city shall be eligible to vote at said election.

We, the undersigned officers of said City, hereby certify
as follows:
1. The City Council of said City convened in regular

ORDINANCE CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS
THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF W I LL I AMSON :
CITY OF GEORGETOWN
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City ordered an
election to be held in said City on February 25, 1984, on
the FROFOSITIO14S hereinafter stated; and
WHEREAS, said City Council has investigated all matters
pertaining to said election, including the ordering, giving
notice, officers, holding and making returns of said elec-
tion; and
WHEREAS, the election officers who held said election
have duly made the returns of the result thereof, and said
returns have been duly delivered to said City Council.
h'HEREAS, it is hereby officially found and determined
that a case of emergency or urgent public necessity exists
which requires the holding of the meeting at which this
Ordinance is passed, such emergency or urgent public neces-
sity being that the proceeds from the sale of the proposed
bonds are required as soon as possible and without delay for
necessary and urgently needed public improvements; and that
said meeting was open to the public, and public notice of
the time, place and purpose of said meeting was given, all
as required by Vernon's Ann. Civ. St. Article 6252-17.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN:
1. That the City Council officially finds and deter-
mines that said election was duly ordered, that .proper
notice of said election was duly given, that proper election
officers were duly appointed prior to said election, that
said election was duly held, that due returns of the result
of said election have been made and delivered, and that the
City Council has duly canvassed said returns, all in accord-
ance with law and the Ordinance calling said election.
