MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN
TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL
ASSISTANCE FOR A MASTER AIRPORT
DEVELOPMENT STUDY AND PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown does own and operate a MunicipalAirport, and
WHEREAS, certain deficiencies exist in operational facilities, and
WHEREAS, professional planning assistance is necessary to developeanorderly, phased and financially sound development plan and tomakeanenvironmentalimpactassessmentofproposedprojects, and
WHEREAS, Federal assistance funds may be obtained to conductAirportdevelopmentplansforairportsthatarenowinorwillbecomeapartofStateandNationalAixtransportationsystems.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City ofGeorgetown, Texas authorizes the Mayor to make application for and
give necessary assurances to the Federal Aviators Agency in ordertocontractforanAirportMasterPlanStudyestimatedtocost $35, 000. If the project is approved, the FAA would provide $31, 500 and theCity $3, 500.
