AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN* TEXAS,
AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING

THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMIT OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS.'
WHEREAS,, two }public hearings by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown. Texas, wher4eall interested persons.were provided with an
opportunity t6 be heard -on the proposed annexation of that certain
tract of land located in Williamson County, Texas, known as SAN GABRIEL

were held, the first being at City "all on the 5th Day of Nav9eer, IMT-

WHEREAS, notices of such public hearings were published according
to law in a newspaper.having general circulation in the City of
Georgetown, Texas, and in the herein described territory to be annexed
on the 21st Day of OctAber.c 1984 for the first such hearing, , which
date is not more than 20 days nor Fess than 10 days prior to that hearing,
and on the 4th pay of November 1984, for the second hearing,
which date is not more than0-days nor less than 10 days prior to said
hearing; and
WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Georgetown,�Texas,
on the 1st day of January, 1984 was 4141.64 acres;.,and

WHEREAS, the population of the City of Georgetown, Texas is
%-469 inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, all the herein described territory lies within the extra-
territorial jurisdiction of thea City of Georgetown, Texas: and
WHEREAS,' the herein described'te"rritory lies "adjacent and contiguous
to the City of Georgetown, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the herein described territory contains 69.37
acres: and I
WHEREAS, tine owner of such property has requested annexation by
the City of Georgetown; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1. The following aescribed land and territory lying
adjacent and contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas is hereby
added and annexed to the City of Georgetown, Texas and said territory
hereinafter described shall hereafter be included in the boundary
limits of the City of Georgctown,. Texas and the present boundary limits
of said City at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter
described axe altered and amended so as to include said area within
the corporate limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, to -wits
BEING that certain tract and parcel of land described
in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference for all purposes.
k... Section 2. ,• The above described territory ' and the area *so annexed
shall be a part of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the property So
added hereby shall bear its -pro -rata share of the taxes lev4ed by the.
City of Georgetown, Texas and inhabitants thereof shall be entitled
to all the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound
by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of,
Georgetown, Texas.

DECEMBER 1984 ANNEXATION

A. POLICE PROrB=ICN
Upon annexation the Georgetown Police Department will provide regular and
routine patrols in the area as a part of its overall patrol activities. The
department will respond to any calls for assistance.
B. FIRE SERVICE`
Fire service is now being provided to the area and will continue to be provided
by the present, personnel and equipment of the fire fighting force.
C. WATER SERVICE
Is presently being provided and will continue to be provided upon annexation
in aoaordance with rates„ terns and conditions contained in the Georgetown City
Code.
D. SEWER SERVICE
Is presently being provided and will continue to be provided upon annexation
in accordance with rates, terns and conditions contained in the Georgetown City
Code.
E. REFUSE COELE ICN
Service will be provided upon annexation in accordance with rates, terms and
conditions contained in the Georgetown City Code.
F, INSPECTICN SERVICES
All inspection services (for exmpl% buildirng, electrical plumbing, etc.)
provided by the City will be extended to this area on the effective date of

G. PLANNOG AND ZCNING
The Planning and Zoning jurisdiction of the City will extend to this area on
the effective date of annexation. 11he zoning will be R -S (Residential Single
Family, except as noted on Exhibit "A" attached.
H. STREETS, SZRE.T LIGMM4G ROMMTION, LIBRARY SERVICES
Services will be provided upon annexation in accordance with terns and
conditions contained in the Georgetown City Code.
I. Mi9C�I�ANDOCUS
Any other applicable municipal services will be provided to the area in
accordance with policies established by the City of Georgetown.

Rezoning in omplianoe with state law and all City of Georgetown ordinances is
proposed for the following properties within the referenced subdivision contemplated
for annexation.

unless requested otherwise.
