Called City Council Meeting
February 6, 1979
The City Council met in sepcial session on the above date at 4:05 p.m. with
Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following councilmen and officials were
present: Carl Doering, William Shell, Lee Fulkes, Harry Gold, City Manger
Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden and Community Development Coordinator
Jim Colbert. Others present were: Barbara Raney, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hanson,
Jim Cole, Don Bizzell, Tommy Magness, Pete Bouffard, Neal Alexander, Wilbur
Calloway, Gordon Davis and Vivian Wood.
Annexation The City Council held a discussion on possible future annexation around
Workshop the City of Georgetown.
Airport Hanger Motion by Gold and seconded by Fulkes to approve on second and final reading
Rent Ordinance an ordinance establishing month to month leasing rates for city owned hangers,
aircraft tie down lots and buildings at the Georgetown Municipal Airport. Motion
carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 0293)
Mayor Doerfler announced that at this time an executive session would be
held under V.T.C.S. Article 6252-17 (Section 2(b)2). A case involving employment.
After the executive session the meeting was again opened to the public.
Renee Hansen was present.
There being no further business on a motion by Gold and seconded by
Fulkes the meeting adjourned.
