November 10, 1975
The City Council met on the above date with Mayor Joe E. Crawford
presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present: Harry Gold,
William Shell, J. D. Wininger, Dee Scott, City Manager Leo Wood, City
Secretary W. L. Walden and City Attorney Joe McMaster. Others present were:
Buddy Adams, Alan McCutcheon, Mrs. Harlan Ford, Rodney Montgomery and
a Journalism Class from Southwestern.
Monthly Minutes Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell to approve the minutes of City
and Reports Council meetings held on October 13 and October 24, 1975. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Motion by Wininger and seconded by Gold to approve General fund bills
in the amount of $5,823.51 and Utility fund bills in the amount of $112,239.09.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Rezoning Motion by Wininger and seconded by Scott to approve on first reading
Ordinance- an Ordinance rezoning the West 1/2 of Block 6 in the North Georgetown Addition
North from RS to C-1. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 -
Georgetown Page #34-35)
Addition
Urban Renewal Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger to approve on first and final
reading an Ordinance vacating and abandoning a portion of West 3rd. Street.
Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book03 - Page030-31)
Country Club Motion by Scott and seconded by Shell to approve on second and final
IV -Vacating reading an Ordinance vacating and abandoning a golf cart easement between
Golf Cart Lots 15, 16 & 17 of Block 2 in Country Club Acres IV. Motion carried by
Easement unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book #3 - Page x`24-26)

Board
Mayor Crawford, with the consent of the city council, appointed
Dr. Martha Allen to fill the unexpired term of Father Charles Davis on the
Urban Renewal Board.
Appointment- Motion by Wininger and seconded by Shell to appoint Miss Donna
Historical Scarbrough to the Historical Preservation Committee to take the place of
Preservation Mrs. Don Scarbrough.

Annexation Motion by Wininger and seconded by Shell to approve on first reading
Ordinance an Ordinance annexing property bounded by College Street, MK & T
Railroad and the San Gabriel River. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Electrical Fuel Motion by Scott and seconded by Shell to approve an electrical fuel
Adjustment adjustment charge of 90% on the November billing. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.
Lions Club The Evening Lions Club requested the use of an area in the San Gabriel
Christmas Park to produce a Christmas Pageant on December 21, 22 and 23, 1975.
Pageant The Council approve the request subject to the City Attorney's approval
of the Liability Insurance carried by the Lions Club.
At this time Mayor Crawford announced that the council meeting would
be closed under Article 6252-17 (Section 2(a) and Section 2(b) Para. (1)a).
This meeting was held for private consultations between the City Attorney
and the City Council on pending litigation,
After the closed meeting the meeting was reopened to the public.
There being no further business on a motion by Gold and seconded by
Scott the meeting adjourned.
