September 11, 1985
The City Council met in Special Session on the
above date at 5:30 PM with Mayor Carl Doering
presiding. The following Council Members and
Officials were present: Eb C. Girvin, Bill
Connor, William C. Shell, Joan King, Jim
Colbert, City Secretary Pat Caballero, and
Finance and Administration Director/Acting City
Manager Frank Reed.
1. Executive Session - Personnel & Litigation - V.T.C.S. Article
6252-17 Section 2 (e) & (g)
Mayor Doering announced that the council would
meet in executive session under Art. 6252-17
Sec. 2 (e) and (g). After the executive session
the meeting was again open to the public.
Motion by Shell and second by Colbert to appoint
Frank A. Reed to the position of City Manager

for the City of Georgetown with his appointment
starting immediately. Voting went as follows:
Yes: Shell, Colbert and Girvin; No: King and
Connor. Motion carried.
2. Misc. No action taken on this matter.
3. Adjourn Motion by Connor and second by Colbert to
adjourn. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
