HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 02.12.1973 CC-R207 " February 12, 1973 The City Council met in regular session on the above date with Mayor Joe E. Crawford presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present, Dee Scott, J. D. Wininger, William Eanes, Harry Gold, City Manager Leo Wood and City Secretary Claud Eads. Others present were Andy Welch, Ellen Jordan and Roger Erickson. Monthly Min- Motion by Gold and seconded by Eanes that minutes of council utes and meetings held on January 8, 1973 and January 30, 1973 be approved as Reports presented. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Eanes and seconded by Gold that General Fund bills in the amount of $9,535.47 and Utility bills in the amount of $30,410.70 be approved and paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Bids on 1973 The following bids were opened on a new 1973 car for the City City Manager's Manager. Car Draeger Motor Company - 45 days for delivery - $2,829.39 Compton Motor Company - 30 to 45 days delivery - $2,977.00 Motion by Eanes and seconded by Scott that Draeger Motor Company be awarded bid. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Sanitary An Ordinance setting and prescribing fees for the Sanitary Land - Landfill fill disposal facility of the City of Georgetown was read. Ordinance Motion by Eanes and seconded by Wininger that the ordinance be (passed on its first reading. Motion carried by unanimous vote. See Ordinance Book No. 2 - Page 311) Advertise for Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger that City Manager Wood Bids on be authorized to advertise for bids on a new 1973 police car. Motion Police Car carried by unanimous vote. Advertise for Motion by Gold and seconded by Scott that City Manager Wood be 1973 Dump authorized to advertise for bids on a new 1973 dump truck. Motion Truck carried by unanimous vote. 208 Advertise for Motion by Wininger and seconded by Gold that City Manager Wood Electrical be authorized to advertise for bids on electrical supplies. Motion Supplies carried by unanimous vote. City Election Mayor Crawford called for a city election to be held Saturday, April 7, 1973, for the purpose of electing three councilmen. Mayor Crawford appointed Mr. L. R. McLaughlin election judge and Mr. W. E. Edminston as alternate judge. Final Payment- Motion by Gold and seconded by Wininger that the final payment on Fire Station the Fire Station building, in the amount of $5,754.00, be paid to Donald Goodnight. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Gold and seconded by Scott'that the final architectural fees on the Fire Station building, in the amount 'of $103.50, be paid to Roger Erickson. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Urban Renewal- Motion by Wininger and seconded by Gold that Estimate #4 on the Phase II - Urban Renewal Project Phase II,in the amount of $2,021.64, be paid to Estimate #4 Lee Roy Psencik. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Stonehaven Motion by Lanes and seconded by Scott that the City increase Center Stonehaven's yearly contribution to $6,550.00. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
