HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 04.27.1971 CC-S164 April 27, 1971 The City Council met in called session on the above date with Mayor Jay C. Sloan presiding. The following Councilmen and officials were present, William Eanes, Harry Gold, Joe Crawford, J. D. Wininger, Hubert Brock, City Manager Leo wood, Asst. City Manager Claud Eads. Others present were Roger Erickson, Engineer for the Police Station, Richard Mittanck, Elanor Cook, Bill Buchanan, and Fuston McCarty. Police Roger Erickson stated that he did not have the plans and specifications Station completed to present to Council for the Police Station, but, would present Plans them on May 10th. Bids for the Police Station are to be opened June 7, 1971, at 7:30 P.M. at the City Hall. Southeast Mayor Sloan discussed with the Council the progress that had been made Sewer with Grady Watkins and Mr. Mahan concerning the sewer easements across Lasements their property. Mayor Sloan stated that Mr. Watkins attorney's had offered to execute sewer easement for consideration of $2,000.00 paid by the city and in return Mr. Watkins would release the City's obligations for refund on properties in the East Lynn Addition. The Council agreed to proceed with condemnation suits on the Watkins and Mahan properties. There being no further business on a motion by Wininger and seconded by Gold the meeting adjourned.
