November 17, 1969
The City Council met in regnilar session on the above date, with
Mayor Jay C. Sloan presiding. The following., Councilmen and officials
were present W. It. Eanes, Harry Gold, Hubert Brock, A. F. Davis,
City Manager Leo Wood, and Asst. City Manager Claud !:ads. Councilmen
Doyle Lyda was not present. Other citizens present were Parold
Parder, Fred King, firs. Cook, Vorgil Carlson, 1'rnest Lincoln,
kirs. Barton, Mrs. Kennie Wilcox, Mr. C. 0. Smitii, Mike McAfee,
E. C. Porche, Bill Buchanan,
Minutes of Council meetings held, Oct. 13, Oct. 27, and Nov.12,
1969 were approved as presented.
Bills Motion by Gold and seconded by Frock that General fund bills
in the amount of $4,334.52 and Utility Bills in the amount of
622,212.26 be approved and paid. !Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Payment of Motion by Gold and seconded by Brock that Estimate No. 1 for
Estimate No.l Georgetown Public Library payment to Could Associates Inc. in the
Library hill amount of $7,069.68 be approved and be paid. Motion carried by
unanimous vote.
Carver School RESOLUTION. Motion by Brock and seconded by Gold that the
Platt ltesol. resolution presented by Urban Reaewal be accepted. The C"rver School
platt consists of 5.5.1 or 11 lots. Motion carried by unanimous vote.

Zoning Ordin. Motion be Gold and seconded by Brock that the amended ordinance
on lot sizes be approved. Motion carried by unanimous vote. See
Ordinance Book Page No. 167.

Resolution U1 OLUTION. On a motion by Eanes and seconded by 'Davis
with Housing authorizing publication of intent to enter into a'Cooperation
Authority agreement with the Housing Authority of the City of Georgetown.
All were in favor. (Ordinance Book Page 168.
Garden Mr. C. 0. Smith, architect for the Georgetown Garden Club,
Club presented plans and drawings for a Garden Club center at the
San Gabrial Park. On a motion by Davis and seconded by Ln nes
the plans and drawings for construction of a Garden center at
San Gabriel Park was adopted as presented. Plans and construction
to be worked on as money and time are available, by the City
and Club together. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Petition Harold Parker presented the following petition for Sewer
for Sewer extensions in �-restivew addition.
extension WE THE UNDEIISIGNED, citizens of Georgetown, Williamson
County, Texas and being property owners in Blocks 1 and 2 of the
Crestview Addition to said City do hereby, by affixing our sign-
atures hereon, request and petition the City Council of Georgetown,
Texas to install, furnish, supply, equipand do all things neces-
sary for the purpose of furnishing supplying and maintain an
adequate, useable, and suitable sewage system to and for each of
our homes and property.

The Mayor suggested that the City Manager and Harold Parker
look into the matter and report to council at a later date.
Lone Star E. C. Parche, representing Lone Star Gas Co. requested that
Gas Co. the City Council authorize a rate increase in natural gas for
their Company. For the second time this request wa% denied and
a further study will be made. After a lengthy discussion of the
matter. The Mayor suggested that Mr. Porche have Lone Star Gas
Company's auditors meet with the Council at pext< regular meeting
of December Jath.
Water Dept. Motion by Brock and seconded by Eanes that specifications
Pick-up for a new pick-up for the Water department be advertised for
bids. Bids to he opened Dec.8, 1969. Also specifications fur a
two-way radio be advertised for, bids to be opened an Dec. 8, 1869.
There being no further business on,a motion by Lancs and
seconded by Davis the meeting was adjourned.
