The following coun- cilvien and officials were present: 1',�illiam 1t. hones, Harry Gold, Hubert- Brock, Doyle Lyda, A. F. IU. vis, City Manager Leo hood, Assistant City Manager Claud Lads, City .Attorney Joe B. 5ic,Master, Airport Manager Jim 1{outwell and City Lngineer Les Hudson. Others present were: James A. ltehler, Barry Browne, Irene lfenderson, Mr. Buchanan, George Gregg, Joe Crawford and Wink Ivalden. Minutes of Council meeting;. hell: February 3, 10, 17 and 24th were approved as presented. ,llotion by Gold and seconded by Lanes that Utility bills in the amount of 616,912.29 and General Fund bills in the amount of 53,036.52 were approved and paid. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Little League Joe Crawford and ','pink Walilen suggf,ested that the council add lig;llts, sewer facilities and rest rooris for Little League ball field in the San Gabriel Park. Council instructed the City 1Manaer to secure costs and specifications for sewer and lights and report 104 to council at a later date. Water Tower Motion by Gold and seconded by Brock that bids submitted by Joe Painting Sharp to paint 500,000 gallon water tank be accepted. Noes: `one. Library There will be a meeting of Library Committee on !March 14, Committee 1969. Boutwell James Boutwell requested that his contract with the City ori the Airport Lease airport that expires on December 31, 1063 be renewed for three years. Bequest Council requested that 11r. Boutwell get with Joe �i&aster and work out a contract and present to the council at a later date. The following letter was read from Longhorn Flying Club, Inc. Jim Boutwell Airport Manager City of Georgetown, Toxas Dear Jim: The Longhorn Aero Club, Inc., in its current expansion program, has investigated the Georgetown/Southwestern University'+,illiarison County area. VVe have noted the lack of general Aviation activity in these areas, and we would accordingly like to open a chapter in Georgetown. Our requirements are as follows: 1. 'lie down and hangar space. 2. Aircraft fueling facility. 3. Briefing and ground school room. Please advise the availability and our cost for these requirements. Very truly yours, Signed U. J.
