The following Councilmen and officials were present: William R. Lanes, Hubert Brock, Doyle Lyda, A. F. Davis, City Manager Charles D. Eyeington, Assistant City Manager Claud Eads, Chief of Police Frank Masur, Jr., and City Attorney Joe B. McMaster. Also present were: L. B. Walker, Drew Ballard, and Mrs. Herbert Baker. Mayor read progress report of the Georgetown Area Public Library for the month of July 1968. Fines ?`lotion by Brock and seconded by Lyda that the following schedule of minimum fines be adopted effective October 1, 1968. B. Walker. No action was taken Mayor discussed at length letter from Better Citizens League which dealt with dust and lighting in areas on west side of city. The light- ing situation in the Stonehaven area was discussed. Manager stated that a light would be installed on northwest corner of Stonehaven off of Hart street. G. Watkins Construction of streets for Grady Watkins in Gabriel Heights Subdivision subdivision was discussed. It was determined by the city council (Parker) that Clay Street and that portion of Park Lane extending between George- town Inn and Sinclair Service Station was a part of the developers plans, accepted by the city with the understanding that Parker would complete these streets as he has the rest of the streets in the sub- division. Council also agreed that no more could be done for Mr. Watkins than had been done for other developers. Wm. County Motion by Lanes and seconded by Brock that contributions to William - Health Unit son County Health Unit remain same as last years contribution. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
