Sir:
As you know, we have known from the beginning that it would be necessary
for me to resign from the Urban renewal Board when we reached the
point of ordering title work and acquiring property. It appears
that we are now at this stage.
Accordingly, this letter will serve as my resignation as Chairman
of the Board of Commissioners of Urban renewal Agency of the City of
Georgetown.
It has been a great pleasure and an honor to serve the City in
this manner and particularly to work with my fellow commissioners
in organizing the program. Our citizens will, I am sure, be proud
of the South San Gabriel project as it unfolds.
I will be happy to serve the city in another capacity if and
when needed.
