The following Councilmen and officials were present: Hubert Brock, Ed- ward Lee Evans, Doyle Lyda, Harry Gold, City Manager Charles D. Eyeinyton, Assistant City Manager Claud Lads, Electrical Supt. Claudie !Mayo. Also present were: IV. K. McClain, A. !C. Bowen, Curtis Adrian with First South- west Company of Dallas and firs. Baker with 1"iiI.liamson County Sun Publish- ing; Company. I.O.O.F. !V. K. McClain and A. IV. Bowen discussed the assets of the I.O.O.F. Cemetery and Lodge also discussed the possibility of the City purchasing; the Davis building and taking Cemetery with trust fund of about $10,000.00. Mayor Sloan brought the council up to date on previous meetings with the members of I.O.O.F. Lodge in regard to purchasing the lodge properties. Mayor appointed,llarry Gold, Edward Lee Evans and Sloan to work with the I.O.O.F. Lodge in regard to above mentioned properties. Bond Mr. Curtis Adrian, financial advisor to the City, suggested Sale that the council sell balance of -bonds in the amount of $75,000.00 to avoid extra expense that would be incurred in.selling portions of bonds. Motion by Lvans and seconded by Lyda that City sell remaining $75,000.00 of bonds that were previously approved to First Southwest Company 4 4.556'-` as advised by Mr. Adrian. Votes as follows: Ayes: Gold, Lyda, Lvans and Brock. Noes: None. ]Motion carried. Wesleyan The electric rate as applied to the Wesleyan Home was discussed Electric but no action was taken. state Drainage Motion by Brock and seconded by Gold to take steps necessary 17th St. to correct the drainage problem on 17th Street. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Housing Council agreed to allow Georgetown Public Housing to combine Authority readings on meters at their project and to be billed on Industrial Billing Electric rate. Brock introduced a proposed ordinance which was read in full. Alderman Edward L. Evans moved that the rule requiring; ordinances to be read at more than one meeting; be suspended. The motion was seconded by Alderman Doyle E. Lyda. The motion carried by the following; vote: AYES: Aldermen Gold, !vanes, Lyda, Brock and Evans. NOE6: None. Alderman William It. Eanes'moved that the ordinance be passed finally. The motion was seconded by Alderman Harry Gold. The motion carried by the following; vote: AYES: Aldermen Gold, Eanes, Lyda, Brock and Evans. NOES: None. The Mayor announced that the ordinance had been finally passed. There being; no further business, on motion by Brock arid seconded by Lyda council adjourned. Jay C.
