The City Council met in regular session on the above date,
Mayor Jay C. Sloan presiding. The following Councilmen and officials
were present: William R. Eanes, A. W. Hoyt, Jr., Hubert Brock, Doyle
Lyda, Edward Lee Evans, City Manager Charles D. Eyeington, City
Secretary Claud Eads and City Attorney Joe B. McMaster. Others
present were: George Gregg, Drew Ballard, James Lackey, John Cardwell,
R. S. Elliott, James A. Rehler, Harold Parker and Marvin Henderson.
Motion by Hoyt and seconded by Brock that minutes of council
meetings held, August 8th, 15th and 22nd be approved. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Motion by Eanes and seconded by Brock that General Fund bills
in the amount of $3,143.44 and Utility bills in the amount of
$21,690.99 be paid and manager's report be accepted. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Harold Harold Parker proposed to give the City a reasonable plot of
Parker ground northwest of Country Club acres for a recreational area.
(Park) Mayor stated that proposition would be taken under advisement and
suggested that Manager Eyeington look into the matter and report
findings to Council at a later date.
Peddling George Gregg discussed at length with the Council the Peddling
Ordinance and suggested that action be taken by Council to have a
waiting period for applicants to sell goods or services in the City.
City Attorney and Manager to study proposal and report back to
Council at a later date.
Royal BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
Oaks 1. That the owner, Tom B. Sexton, of that certain tract of
Hills land designated as "ROYAL OAKS HILL ESTATES ADDITION" to the City of
Humble
Georgetown, Texas, is hereby authorized to file for record in the office
of the County Clerk of Williamson County, Texas, the Map or plat of said
tract attached hereto, and the said County Clerk of Williamson County,
Texas is hereby authorized to accept for filing and to record said Map of
said Tract of Land.
2. In authorizing the filing and recording of said Map of said
tract of land, the City Council of the Ci "f Georgetown, Texas, does

Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Marvin Henderson and James Lackey were pleased to offer assistance in
defense in connection with Humble Oil Company's suit against the City of
Georgetown.
Budget • APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 1, 1966, AND ENDING AUGUST 31, 1967, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 689-A-13 OF THE REVISED CIVIL STATUES
OF TEXAS FOR THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, APPROPRIATING THE
VARIOUS AMOUNTS THEREOF AND REVEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
Motion by Evans and seconded by Lyda that Appropriation Ordinance be
passed. Motion carried by unanimous vote. See ordinance Book II Page 32-33.
